EMIFF at 15: Celebrating Filmmaking in Mallorca

This year marks a special milestone for the Evolution Mallorca International Film Festival (EMIFF) as it celebrates its 15th anniversary - and we’re delighted to be returning as a sponsor.
Over the past 15 years, EMIFF has grown into an international meeting point for filmmakers, bringing emerging and established talent from around the world to Mallorca to share work, exchange ideas and make connections.
For us, supporting the festival is about being part of that exchange: championing filmmaking talent, supporting the creative community we’re proud to call home and bringing international attention to Mallorca and everything the island has to offer filmmakers.
Mallorca may be famous for its beaches, mountains and Mediterranean light, but behind those landscapes is a deeply experienced production community of local crews, producers and specialists. EMIFF provides an opportunity to celebrate those people too, while showing visiting filmmakers that the island is not simply a beautiful backdrop, but a place with the talent, knowledge and experience to make ambitious work happen.
And that potential extends far beyond the summer months. Mallorca changes with the seasons, bringing different landscapes, textures and light throughout the year. The festival gives filmmakers from around the world the chance to experience the island for themselves and discover a side of Mallorca they might not otherwise get to see.
As part of our continued sponsorship, Palma Pictures will once again offer production grants to winning filmmakers, helping them take the next step with a future project here in Mallorca and giving them access to our local crews, production expertise and on-the-ground knowledge.
It’s one of the things we value most about our relationship with EMIFF: our involvement can continue beyond the festival itself, helping filmmakers turn an idea into something real.
